Our weekly Sunday worship centers on the Eucharist, a word which literally means: ‘The Great Thanksgiving’. For the past 2,000 years Christians have insisted that the heart of our community life is devoted to the twin practices of sharing a sacred meal and giving thanks to God. On the evening of Nov 20, we invite you to join the COTA community for a seasonal potluck dinner we call ‘The Great Thanksgiving’. Bring a holiday favorite dish to share, get to know members of our community through lively table conversation, and feel free to bring a board or card game to play if time permits. The Great Thanksgiving is a special time for sharing community connection, food, and gratitude for all the places we’ve been in the past year and for what’s to come in the year ahead.
